For those interested please find below a recording of a talk on « The Problem of War as an Instrument of Foreign Policy for Liberal Democracy » which I gave in NYC at the Forms of War conference organized by the Paul Piccone Institute and Telos review in partnership with CUNY.

In this talk I gave a broad overview of some of the core themes of my current research on Raymond Aron and Leo Strauss’s engagement with Carl Schmitt and their mobilization of Ancient political thought as a resource in the intellectual rearmament of liberal democracies in their fight against hostile powers.
